 This is a recipe from Jane Smith who is a homeschooling mom with a
Bachelor of Science in Education specializing in Comprehensive Social Studies and an interest in gifted children. She also
loves to cook and offers up her own unique quick 'n easy jambalaya recipe which marries
Polish Kielbasa along with the "Cajun
trinity" of celery, onion and garlic.
We think that the newlyweds will have a good marriage on your table. It's easy to make and
fun to eat!!
Jane's Kielbasa
Jambalaya
What you need:
 1
can peas
- 1 C instant rice
- 1 T soy sauce
- 1/2 t basil
- 1 C water
- 1/4 C grated carrot
- 1/2 t garlic
powder
- 1 t lemon pepper
- 1 lb. Kielbasa, sliced diagonally
- two plum tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup chopped green onion
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 4 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 T chicken bouillon
- 1 t onion powder
- juice of one whole lime
What You Do:
- Sauté Kielbasa and rice
until rice begins to toast.
- Drain water from peas and add to pan.
- Sprinkle lime juice over meat and rice, sauté 1 minute.
- Add vegetables and spices, sauté 3 additional minutes.
- Allow a slight amount of scorching, then add water and
reduce heat.
- Cover pan and simmer until rice is tender and most of the
water has been absorbed.
Serves 6.

kicked-up idea for leftover spaghetti noodles! I use mozzarella cheese in this recipe, but
go ahead and make yours with whatever cheese you like best. Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or
even smoked Gouda would be great."

"secret ingredient", coffee, which is a key ingredient in Redeye Gravy.. Judy
says, "I am a Chile-head from way back! I am a native of Columbus, Mississippi, a historic city noted for our
antebellum homes. My main interests are cooking and digital photography. My favorite
things to cook with are chile peppers so I have lots of Mexican
