click here to find out more about SueThis recipe comes from a member of our momscooking community, Kim Kerr, who donated this recipe as part of our ChiliUSA collection.

She says:

This chili recipe was one that I grew up on as a child. My mom was the one who put it together years ago. I still to this day like it on cold, chilly days. My husband Ron enjoys it also, unfortunately my kids don't like beans.  The recipe tends to make quite a bit but the chili tastes so much better after it has sat a few days in the refrigerator and then is reheated back up.  That is the only chili recipe I have, but I have tons more of other recipes. Thank you for your interest in my favorite chili.
Kim Kerr

Dodge Family Chili
chiliusa.jpg (4906 bytes)This recipe comes from Judy Dodge from Dunwoody, Georgia who has donated a a wonderful family chili recipe for you to try. She says, "Mom Dodge (My husband's mom) always made this while we were traveling from Atlanta to Nashville so it would be ready for us when we arrived on Friday night no matter what time we got there to visit for the weekend. She usually served cornbread (with real corn in it) and cole slaw and we looked forward to enjoying that each visit."

Do you feel chili?
No, I'm not asking you if you feel cold.

Better yet, tell us one of your own!!
We are collecting chili recipes from all over the country and we would love to have:

  • That special recipe that grandma or grandpa told you about.
  • Perhaps that "nuclear" chili that is controlled by the department of defense.
  • Also tell us a little bit about you, too!!
