cornucopia.gif (8601 bytes)This week's Cookie of the Week is brought to you by Jill Barber and her family. These cookies sound delicious and are almost candy like in their texture. Thanks so much Barbers for sharing this family recipe with the rest of us : )!

Jill Barber says:
"I am the mother of four ages: eighteen, nine, seven and three years old. I am the step-mom to three ages twenty one, twenty and seventeen, and boy do they love cookies. My grandmother Carr made these quick cookies for me when I was little.

The recipe makes a small quantity but they are quick and easy and ready to eat from start to finish in 15 minutes."

What you need:

What you do:

  1. Mix together and roll into little balls and place on cookie sheet.
  2. Flatten a little bit and sprinkle a little bit of sugar on the top.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

They will still feel soft in the middle but will set more as they cool. These are so simple that my seven year old daughter and my twenty one and twenty year old stepsons can do it without fail. (unless they forget to take them out of the oven!!)

I wanted to eat the whole batch
From: Happy Girl
My 8 year old daughter made this recipe has a gift for her dad and me. I have to admit, these were awesome and I wanted to eat the whole batch. That is no lie! I told others about this easy recipe and someone mentioned that they had added to it by topping each cookie with a Hershey's Chocolate Kiss. So, works for me! Chocolate, peanut butter and an EASY recipe. It honestly doesn't get any easier than that one! Thanks for your site!
