This craft is brought to us by Lisa
Taylor an active and creative member of
our Families First community. Lisa's popular Easter craft is a hit with her children
who love to make these cute chicks and with their grandparents who love to get them!
Her two children, Raven 4, and Sarah Jaye 2, enjoy craft activities. As a stay at
home married to a wonderful guy, she relishes the time she has with her two little girls.
Lisa is always trying to come up with and finding fun things for the kids to do. She
has found some good ideas right here in the Pitter
Patter library of crafts
Lisa says:
These are really cute, my kids made them last year and will make them again this
year. The grandparents really loved them.
What to do:
First you'll need a sheet of yellow construction
paper, cut this into alarge egg shape.
- Next, you will need a orange sheet of construction paper,
cut two legs with feet for your chick. Glue or tape these to the bottom back side of the
egg shape.
- Cut a two triangle shapes out of the orange
construction paper- this is the beak of your chick. Fold this to be a little
dimensional.
- Place two wiggley eyes (you can get these at the craft
store) above the beak of chick. Next comes the cute part. Trace your childs two
hands. Cut these out and glue them with pinky fingers closest to the back side body
of the chick, these are the wings of the chick.
- You can write Happy
Easter on the lower body of the chick.
Enjoy :-)

Howdy folks -- I'm excited about making chicks with my 2 boys (2 & 4
years). Wouldn't it be great using craft foam, too? And then put a
magnet on theback. Would make a cute gift the kids could do for grandparents for
Easter :)
