This is a great dollmaking craft from one of our craftzone
members, Joan Mayo from Casa Grande, Arizona who gave us this great fabric craft idea on how to recycle those used gloves to make a treasured keepsake. She says:
Hi! I am Joan
Mayo I have been living in Casa Grande Arizona for 6 yrs. I am disabled and
love to do crafts to keep my mind off the pain I have everyday. I have 2 daughters and 1
son they live in Albany New York. They each have one child. Nicholas 5, Ian 3, and Desirae
5. The two oldest like crafts. Desirae is doing crafts and always wants me to send her
something, so a friend found the garden glove doll and told me about it. When I went to
visit the grandkids we made them. We made clowns, Firemen, train conductors, flower people
and many more. I have a wounderful husband that is always interested in what I am making.
I also love to sew for the grandkids and my self. Hope everyone enjoys the dolls.
God Bless all of you
your friend Joan

Fabric Fans
They are decorative and make terrific gifts.
When you use scrapes of fabric reminiscent of your childhood (or your children's), the
fans become keepsakes, reviving memories year after year. Stay cool with this fun and easy
project!

Homeschooler sews her
way to a successful business
hosted by Joe Spataro

 Homeschooler Jennie
Chancey was able to take advantage of the flexibility offered by homeschooling to learn
how to sew. She has turned this love into a successful business
called Sense & Sensibility. I had the opportunity to interview Jennie and ask her a
few questions about homeschooling, her vintage dressmaking business and how she is helping
other homeschoolers to share in her love of vintage dressmaking. |
