Her latest book Crafts to Celebrate God's Creations is a terrific collection of delightful crafts and activities to help children become more aware of God's amazing creations. Along with her new book Crafts to Celebrate God's Creation Kathy has written dozens of wonderful craft books spanning every category.

Kathy's craft from Crafts to Celebrate God's Creation, Different People Envelope Puzzle, is a great way for children to learn and celebrate people's differences.

Different People Envelope Puzzle

You need:

Eight or more used white envelopes
with nothing written on the back

What you do:

  1. rossenvelopepuzzle.jpg (17373 bytes)Line up four different envelopes, unwritten-on side up, one below the other. Draw a head on the top envelop. On the second envelop draw the upper body as a continuation of the first drawing. On the third envelop draw the lower body portion in pants or a skirt. On the last envelope draw the legs and feet.
  2. Remove the head envelop and replace it with a fresh one. Draw a different head on this one, but make it line up with the upper body below it. Do the same thing with each of the other envelopes. You can make as many different envelope pieces as you want, making sure each piece lines up with the original drawing.
  3. Add details and color all the different parts with markers.

Have fun making lots of different-looking people by trying different combinations of envelope parts.

Thank you, God, for making each of us in your image ---
