There are
lots of reasons to start homeschooling.
I think the common denominator in many homescholers is that
for whatever reason, homeschoolers feel that there is a better way for their children to
learn or that the system has not addressed the needs of their children.
- There is something wrong with the educational system
in America
 William J.
Bennett has devoted most of his professional life to improving America's schools and
studying what works in education. In an exclusive
interview for the Homeschoolzone he says, "For some time, long before
K12.com, I've believed that one of the main enemies of education in this country is the
public education system itself -- not public schools per se, but the public-school system.
For millions of American children, especially those trapped in the nation's worst schools,
bureaucracies at the federal, state, and local levels have become a hugely powerful
obstacle to a solid, well-rounded education. I should add that they've also become
obstacles to millions of talented public-school teachers and administrators."

- Religious Freedom
Homeschooling allows you to express your religious views and helps you to teach
those views without having to deal with some very negative outside influences.
- Homeschooling for excellence
is a term for homeschooling where the primary motivation is to provide
stimulating materials presented in a way that are not available in traditional modes of
education.
- Miscellaneous
I'm sure I'll think about some other reasons, but hey you're reading this because
you have already decided that you'd like to try homeschooling and so you want to know - -
