	Marion's Whiskey Chicken This distinctive chicken dish comes from our world-traveling friend, Marion and comes by way of County Tyrone, Northern Ireland and Alaska. She says, "Most of the alcohol escapes during the cooking process, but enough of the flavours remain to give the sauce its distinctive taste." Marion's Sour Cream & Dill Pasta This pasta dish goes beautifully with salmon and other fish-dishes and come from our world-traveling friend, Marion McDowell and comes by way of County Tyrone, Northern Ireland and Alaska. She says, "I originally got a couple of recipes off the web for a creamy dill sauce, and then did a bit of creative experimentation based on those and came up with this dish. It serves 4 as a side dish or 2 ala carte. Enjoy!" New England Corned Beef Dinner This week's Recipe of the Week is from friend and fellow cook Carol Whittington. Carol created New England Boiled Dinner and was good enough to share a copy with us. She likes to prepare meals that are tasty and fast. Thanks so much Carol : )! Creamy Potato Soup This warm soup is a perfect selection for lunch or dinner. My children LOVE potatoes so I know this will be a very popular dish along with home baked rolls -you can find the recipe for Sue's Yeast Rolls in our library Irish Soda Bread with Raisins This recipe features a delicious Irish soda Bread. This bread is wonderful for breakfast with coffee or tea and delightful as an afternoon snack. You can use either black or golden raisins for this recipe. St. Patty's Day Shake This dessert features a St. Patrick's Day treat. This delicious milkshake is made in minutes and is a great way to say Erin Go Braugh! You can substitute frozen vanilla yogurt or any of the fat free ice creams for the regular ice cream. As far as the milk is concerned, you can use any type you and your family prefers- skim milk, low fat etc... Peppermint extract gives a cool minty flavor to these shakes. You can add as little or as much as your taste buds prefer. Oatmeal Soda Bread This recipe features the traditional Irish soda bread with a twist. We have added oatmeal to this tasty loaf. The oatmeal gives the bread a delicious texture and weight. Hope you enjoy it !
