The projects associated with games--among them, a button-flipping game called latkes in the pan--stretch the holiday concept, and there is nothing about safety (one project is a menorah constructed with candles and an aluminum-foil-covered box) nor much about the symbolism. However, the text is clear enough for handy youngsters to follow easily, the graphics are cheerful, if not step-by-step, and the projects can be adapted to several age levels.
