This week's Recipe of the Week is a casserole that is perfect for the
whole family. While your pot is hot you won't be. This dish will let you get out of
the kitchen and still have a tasty dinner after an afternoon of fun in the sun.

- 1 cup of thinly sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
- 1 cup of fresh string beans
- Salt and pepper to taste
What you do:
- Place ground beef and garlic in the crock pot along with the
pepper and thyme.

Minestrone Soup
When I think of autumn I think of good savory
foods, like stews, homemade breads, and soups. There is nothing better on a cool fall
evening than a stemming, delicious bowl of soup, Minestrone soup. I made this recipe even
faster to prepare by putting it into microwave form. This way you can make your soup and
eat it too !
TexMex Casserole
is a delicious and easy way to
bring home that great Mexican flavor everyone loves. This casserole is meatless and you
won't miss the meat, but if you have meat lovers in your family you can add one pound of
browned ground meat to this casserole at the same time you add all the other ingredients
into the baking dish. Instead of browned ground meat, you can use browned ground turkey or
soy crumbles (you can find these in your grocer's freezer and these don't have to be
browned). |

What's so great about soup? Well, for one thing, you can make it out of
practically anything; for another, it doesn't require a lot of fancy equipment. And you
can make most soups ahead of time--they'll taste even better after they've been in the
refrigerator for a while. |
