click here to find out more about SueSpaghetti and olive oil is one of my favorite recipes in the world. It is not only delicious, but can be whipped up in 20 minutes. It is economical and good for the whole family. Remember to heat your pan before adding the olive oil and garlic. This is served best with freshly grated Romano or Parmesan cheese.

What you need:

  • 1 pound of spaghetti
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1/4/ to 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Romano or Parmesan cheese

What you do:

  1. click here to buy this bookPrepare spaghetti according to package instructions.
  2. Heat small size pan on low-medium heat. Then add olive oil. Wait a minute or so for oil to get warm and then add garlic. Using a wooden spoon sauté garlic until slightly brown. Overbrowning can make garlic taste bitter. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. After draining spaghetti, place in bowl and add olive oil and garlic. Toss to coat and serve. Sprinkle grated cheese on the pasta. Serves four.

Lori's Italian Bake
fastrecipes.gif (3252 bytes)This Italian recipe is brought to us by Lori Long. This delicious casserole is a wonderful dinner entree and can be reheated for lunch the next day.  Add dinner rolls and you have a fabulous meal! Lori says: "You can prepare Italian Bake the night before and baked the next day.  It's terrific for the long warm days of summer when you don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I hope you'll enjoy this dish!"
