	This week's Cookie of the Week features Raisin Bran Chewies. This recipe was contributed by one of our Family First members; thank you : )! With the symphony of tastes from raisins, honey and vanilla, these cookies are delicious and will hit a high note with picture with a tall glass of cold milk. What You Need: 1 cup of shortening 1 cup of brown sugar 1 cup of granulated sugar 2 eggs, lightly beaten 2 tablespoons of honey 2 teaspoons of vanilla 2 1/4 cups of flour 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda 1/4 teaspoon of salt 3/4 cup of raisins 3 cups of your favorite raisin bran cereal 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts What You Do: Cream together the shortening, brown sugar, granulated sugar. Add the eggs, honey, and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour, baking soda, and salt to the mixture. Stir in raisin bran cereal. Fold in the raisins, walnuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
