Beth's Best Homemade Stuffing Ever!
This recipe is brought to us by Beth which will make a great
addition to your Thanksgiving and Christmas table. Beth says, "I stumbled onto this
recipe when I used to work for a bakery , yes its good, my son who up until this recipe
would only eat stovetop, loves it you need loaf wheat bread, the gritty grainy type (I use
a 7 grain type) not wonder bread type loaf rye bread, the dark pumpernickel is
great."
Ham Glazes
Many
people like to serve ham for their holiday meal. After choosing a
cook-before-eating, fully cooked, or canned ham selecting a glaze for the ham adds a very
special touch. Before spreading any of these wonderful glazes; score your ham.
This will prevent the glaze from running off the meat and the flavor of the glaze will
marinate within the meat.
Cranberry Chicken
This recipe is another terrific crock pot dish. You don't have to
wait until November to have cranberries. This delicious recipe serves 4 hungry people and
combines the wonderful fresh fruitiness of the cranberries with the tang of orange.
Old-Fashioned Mashed Potatoes
Today's
restaurants are serving all kinds of variants on this traditional recipe - from garlic
mashed potatoes to chicken mashed potatoes. This week we are paying homage to the spude
that made it all happen- good ole fashion Mashed Potatoes. Freshly made creamy mashed
potatoes are nothing like the boxed variety. They are so rich, and fluffy that you can
lose your fork in them. The little bit of extra time it takes to make homemade
mashed potatoes is worth it. Ask your kids!!
Brutus' Favorite Dog Biscuits
 Kayla says,
"My dog's name is Brutus. He is a medium sized mixed breed who showed up on our porch
about a year and a half ago, when he was around 8 weeks old. It's always a bit of a chance
adopting a stray, kind of like a box of chocolates (you never know what you're going to
get), but he has been a great dog for us, very obedient and fun. I've attached a picture
of him that you can use if you like. I have a dog biscuit recipe that I got from a
coworker, I made them for my dog and he seemed to like them (OK, he loved them).
Chocolate Fudge Cheesecake
 This week's Dessert
of the Week, Chocolate Fudge Cheesecake, is brought to us from the famous chef Gregg
Gillespie the author of 1001 Chocolate treats. His Chocolate Cheesecake is delicious and
sure to be loved by everyone at your dinner table.
Cinnamon Buns
This is a great recipe from one of our members
who says, "These cinnamon rolls are a favorite of family and friends. They are always
requested when we have slipovers and for special holidays. Our 4-H group often serves food
at auctions and these are even requested to put on the menu from familiar customers and
auctioneers! They are super easy, super cheap, and best of all super yummy!"
Lemon Pie
This
light and refreshing end to a meal is perfect for every occasion. The zest or lemon
rind adds additional flavor and richness to the pie. A dollop of freshly whipped
cream creates a heavenly finish to this delicious pie.
Pumpkin Pie
I think I would be a turkey by not having
the traditional pumpkin pie. It is practically the universal, culinary symbol of
Thanksgiving- sorry turkey you have some competition here ! Everyone has their own
favorite pumpkin pie and so I'd like to throw my hat into the ring.
Turkey Chili
This recipe is sure to be a hit in
your family. Turkey chili is hearty enough for the coldest winter day yet low enough
in fat where you can enjoy it too. My hubby loves chili and can't tell the
difference between this satisfying dish and the "other" chili. Topped with
fat free sour cream, shredded low fat cheddar cheese, and chopped scallions this is a
delicious dinner.
Banana Nut Muffins
This week's Recipe of the Week features a
delightful Lemon Bread recipe from cookbook author and chef Gregg Gillespie. This recipe
features a honey-ginger sauce and is made with nuts and bananas.

Cranberry Molded Salad
This is a tasty and beautiful treat. Not
only will this make a terrific centerpiece for your Thanksgiving family dinner it will
also be delicious. I like to use miniature marshmallows to top the mop and decorate
around the mold.

Pie
This is a pumpkin pie recipe from our good friend Martha Wisniewski who tells you
