Making Your Own Stickers
This is a super idea to create your personalized messages as decorations or as a way to tell your kids "Well Done"! These stickers are a fabulous, not to mention inexpensive way, to brighten your children's day. They are also great as an arts and crafts project.   They can be made to adorn homemade greeting cards and other  novelties ( including notebooks).

Are Head Lice Bugging You?

If your child attends daycare or goes to school outside of the home, then head lice maybe a concern for you. Head lice is very easily transmitted from person to person through direct head contact. Sharing personal items such as brushes, combs, and linens can help in passing head lice from one person to another.

Shoebox Aquarium
This week's Craft of the Week comes from the very popular book, The Absolute Best Play Days, written and created by Pam Waterson. Pam's book is divided into themes like music, airplanes, dinosaurs, etc. Within each theme there are activities, crafts, videos, even snacks! The Absolute Best Play days is great for children age preschool age and up. The book is geared towards creativity and fun learning.  It can be successfully used by parents who home educate their children and parents who want to enrich their children's learning life. This week's Craft of the Week is making an aquarium.  This is featured in the fish section or theme of Pam's book which also includes other terrific "fish" activities and related books that help kids explore the world of fish.

Decorated Notebooks
Instead of paying extra for notebooks that have pictures and decorations on their covers, you and the kids can save money and decorate your own books ! You can buy the lower priced spiral books with the plain covers and make them beautiful ! This can be done with colored vinyl binders.

Felt Book Marks
The kids loved making them because there are so many ways to create your own mark.The felt is terrific because it doesn't run- so no sewing needed here. Have a super time!
