wonderful project to do with children ages 6 and older. It is simple and looks great! The
supplies are easy to find in any craft store. These pins/ornaments would make a welcomed
gift. Happy Holidays!Easter Pins

This craft to us by Paulette an active member of our Families First community. This
simple yet beautiful Easter pin can be made by children as young as five with some help
from an adult. What a terrific idea Pauletter, thanks again!
Fashionable Glass Pins
 The
beauty of these pins is that they are made from previously
used lens from glasses and greeting cards. This craft answers the question
"What can I do with all these old cards?" You can make this as a gift and you'll
have a lot of choices when you have old pairs of glasses - the shapes can be wonderful.
Heart Magnets
These are terrific for the fridge
and a welcomed gift for any age. They can also be made into fashionable pins .
Attach pin backings to the heart instead of magnets. The craft "dough"
will keep unrefrigerated for up to 2 weeks when stored with a small piece of damp sponge
in a plastic bag or sealed container. This fun craft can be done with children of
any age starting from 4 years old and up.
Valentine Heart Pins
These heart shaped pins are charming and
easy for the whole family to make. First you make the play dough. This dough will last for
months in an airtight container. The pin directions follow the dough instructions. Have
fun!
Lace/Ribbon Angels
This week's Craft of
the Week features Lace Ribbon Angels from our crafting friend Jerry Gleason of Dodge City,
Kansas. She says, "I truly appreciate being able to share some of my craftwork. I
have worked as a paraeducator/paraprofessional in special education classrooms at our
local high school for over nine years. Therefore, have always had the need for simple,
inexpensive craft projects for the classroom. I love crafting and spend a lot of time
looking for new ideas. They truly are easy to make." |
