"When
God was creating mothers"
From Donna
When God was creating mothers
He must have set aside a day
To ponder on how He could make such a wonder
In just the perfect way
He said,
You see, she has to be able to carry
This creation of Mine just right
Automatically willing to deny herself
And protect with all her might
She will instinctively smile through her tears
With all the aches she'll endure
Knowing the end result will be worth it
Solid, precious and pure
She won't fret on whether My gift is perfect
Whether there's every finger and toe
She knows that one in her arms
Is the one I placed in her soul
It's in My plan that she will hold on tightly at first
With all her strength and might
But there will come a day
When her hands will loosen just right
And she'll get down on her knees and pray
Her hands stretched like the wings of a dove
Father, watch over my child a little more now
With the awesome richness of Your love
She'll thank Me for the gift I gave her
One of My cherished bequests in her care
The day to day memories she'll treasure
The priceless stories she'll share
So I say to mothers,
Press on-you're awesome-My heart beats double for you
I've reserved a special place in Heaven
My love is unyielding, infinite and true

"Mother"
From Kyla
For Jacquie
The love my mother provides is honest, true and rare.
An everlasting bond combined with unconditional care.
She protects and relieves with a simple, tender smile
Shielding the fragileness of a small and trusting child.
My mother has the power to turn a house into a home,
Providing security so that I never feel alone.
My mother is beautiful, her presence enchanted
My mother is a gift, too often taken for granted.
My mother's work and devotion never comes to an end,
She's all at once my guardian, my hero and my friend.
I strive to be just like her, to adopt her inner strength
She supports me and she loves me, she'll go to any length.
Relentless effort and committed time,
A heart so tender and a kiss so kind.
My mother works hard, does not pause for a rest
She assists and she guides to see her child's best.
Because I'll always love her and I'll always need her near,
I should celebrate my Mother every day of the year.
She is truly special, unlike any other
She is my angel, she is thankfully my mother.

Sit-A-Pon
a gift for the gardening mom
The Sit-A-Pon is created by using very simple household materials; old plastic
tablecloth, magazines, and yarn. I first made a Sit-A-Pon when I was a Girl Scout. I
still remember that pink and white soft square that protected my knees while gardening as
a small girl. The Sit-A-Pon can be personalized just for your mom. You can use water
proof magic markers to write her name and her favorite colored yarn to sew the edging.
